What is a Graphic Card?

A graphic card is a symbolic, specially shaped and coloured card (rectangles, ovals, circles, rhombus, arrows, hexagonals) designed to support professional group interaction. They are used in conjunction with an adhesive display sheet to allow for continuous repositioning of the card and as such create a powerful visual mapping tool. The uniqueness of each card aids in categorsing data while simultaneously inspiring interaction, organising group thinking and summarising outcomes so that conclusions can be intuitively understood.


What are the applications ?






Our FacilitateIT!™ Graphic Cards are designed to support professional group interactions such as project planning, strategic planning, process mapping, and business requirements modeling. They also aid other generic group process techniques such as brainstorming, clustering, prioritisation, visioning, action planning and much more. By design, our FacilitateIT™ Graphic Cards provide the professional facilitator with a broad multi-purpose facilitation tool that can be applied across the spectrum of facilitation requirements.


What are the benefits of visual mapping? The FacilitateIT!™ product has been based upon the model of visualised concept mapping, where information is represented as concepts (using the cards) with links (using the arrows) showing and describing the relationships between the concepts. They assist in visually categorising group information while at the same time stimulating interaction, structuring group discussion and summarising conclusions. It enables participants to focus their thinking and dialogue on the visual representation being created, build on concepts (ideas), cross polinate ideas, and work effectively and efficiently towards the required outcome.
