I spent the day in JHB today and was very impressed with the smooth and professional manner in which our JHB colleagues have embraced and implemented the recent Project Platinum, which was focused on restructuring our JHB client service business so it can confidently strive to take client service to the next level - has in its implementation proven to be a great success.
Each one of you in the JHB business, have played a key role in its success and I am sure a speak on behalf of the business in thanking each of you for your role and the many hours spent focused on refining the business model, defining the job specs, under going training for new roles and in general embracing the project in its entirety.
It would however be remiss not to congratulate the Project Platinum team who in particular worked many long hours and weekends over the past 9 months to ensure the projects implementation and success. To Russel, Rene, Juliana, Warren, Leana, Hannelie, Lee, Zoe, and Jerome; thanks for your special effort from the first meetings in early January to the implementation party. You have shown great focus and purpose, and an ability to deliver on time. Your efforts standout as an example to all of us!

A very big thank you from all in NedCapFin, not just for getting us focused on the task at hand, but teaching us how to break this down into do-able chunks. It does seem less daunting when you know exactly what you have to do at the lowest level.
I believe that we have achieved much more than just putting together a "to-do-list". The past month became a journey of learning about each other and how we co-exist within one division. We have certainly learnt some lessons like trusting those around us.
In short, I think that this became a team building exercise as much as a learning about our complicated world. I sense an energy and excitement around the division. Everyone feels empowered and involved.
